Executive Board Spotlight
Looking forward to starting the 2017 Fall semester at UNC Charlotte, the Executive Board came together to discuss some of the reasons as to why they wanted to run for a position and get the ball rolling for their first *full* year on campus!
Jessica Martinez, a junior double majoring in Communications and Political Science, is presiding this party. She stated that she is ecstatic to begin her journey as president of the NeW chapter!! Her favorite thing about NeW is that,"it offers a wonderful opportunity to become a part of a network that empowers young women to become strong, bold, and educated leaders."
Alexis Bowman, a senior majoring in Political Science and minoring in History and American Studies, and acts as Vice President. She's excited to spread the conservative message around campus and meeting women who share similar views and the rest of the executive board's views!
Hannah Whitlow, a sophomore majoring in Political Science and minoring in Criminal Justice, mans the credit card as Treasurer! She wanted to help the conservative movement on campus especially within the female demographic. She believes that women need to know it is okay to be feminine and have traditional conservative beliefs and NeW is just the place that embodies these ideas!
Sasha Duncan, a junior majoring in Communications and minoring in Sociology, is the Event Coordinator and Public Relations Chair. She wanted to become an officer for NeW because traditional feminism is an important topic that isn't talked about much anymore. She believes that NeW offers an outlet for women to discuss conservative topics with like-minded members!
Caroline O’Connor, a junior pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Music as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in Language and Digital Technology, is the executive note taker and blogger for the NeW website! Getting involved with Network of enlightened Women allows her to express her Conservative values with women who have the same standards and morals as herself - not only in politics, but also in life.
Now that you've met the team, we'd love to learn more about you at one of our many meetings or social outings!
